This virtual support group is for Black, Latine´, Indigenous, and other incredible persons of color who serve in a resource development and/or fundraising capacity at their organization. Emerging as well as established fundraisers serving at direct-service, capacity-building, higher education, and intermediary organizations are welcome.
The fundraisers of color group provides a peer-to-peer space for individuals belonging to a marginalized racial community to share experiences, stories, and advice as they have navigated fundraising and philanthropy as a profession. Challenging professional experiences will/do happen, and participants are welcome to share and learn within a supportive, affirming, encouraging, and confidential setting.
This group is also meant to increase professional development capacities that will translate into growth opportunities within the field. As a result, we do work within a set curriculum led by the faciliator for the duration of the year. This curriculum remains flexible in nature as pain points can come up at any time. We want to be able to support participants in the present and will shift gears as needed. Guest speakers can and will be invited (at least twice throughout the year) to share expert knowledge in various areas of resource development, philanthropy, mission advancement, theory, and implementation. Agility is key to the group format; however, topic reminders along with supporting materials are shared with participants each month prior to the meeting.

We meet on the 4th Thursday of each month at these times:
Pacific Standard Time (West Coast): 1-2:30pm
Mountain Standard Time (Mountain Time): 2-3:30pm
Central Standard Time (Central America): 3-4:30pm
Eastern Standard Time (East Coast): 4-5:30pm
Once your enrollment has been confirmed you will receive the following:
Welcome packet including annual curriculum an additional copy of signed agreements
Monthly calendar invite with join link
Invitation to schedule your 1:1 coaching session with facilitator.
Monthly topic information will be sent out at least one week prior to the meeting.

The annual cost to participate is $300.
A virtual meeting with the facilitator, participation agreement, as well as a signed confidentiality statement are required prior to joining (these forms authorize through e-signatures).
No more than 12 slots maximum are allowed per group to ensure high value of group experience.*
No two persons from the same organization are allowed to ensure confidentiality.
Once the group is full, there will be a waitlist made available. Should a slot become available, the next on the list will have three weeks to accept membership before we move down the list. If there are at least four on the waiting list another group will be started.
